Doing science together is both more motivating and more effective than working alone. Collaboration within our lab is the default, not the exception. We try to create an atmosphere that encourages informal discussions about science, exchange of ideas, getting and giving early feedback and makes everyone aware of other people’s projects. We also like to spend time together outside of the work environment regularly.

We are always looking for talented PhD student candidates. We primarily recruit students through the doctoral program of the International Max Planck Research School for Intelligent Systems (IMPRS) or the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS).
